1. With this app, you can also create your own codes: 10 seconds of sound can be recorded from a microphone and converted into an image. * PhonoPaper code is analogue, so it is not so sensitive to different types of the image distortion (bad camera, dark picture, wrinkled paper, etc. * code can be drawn by hand to get some unusual sounds.
2. Launch the app, point the camera at the code (tap on the screen to focus if necessary) and smoothly scan the picture from left to right.
3. If you are unable to play the code smoothly, press the record button on the right side of the screen, this will enable automatic scanning.
4. The code should be parallel to the frame - try to keep the camera level.
5. The black code markers (top and bottom) should fall entirely into the frame.
6. If the application recognizes code markers, you will hear a sound.
7. Default PhonoPaper code length is 10 seconds.
8. PhonoPaper is a camera app for playing pictures with encoded sound (PhonoPaper-codes).
9. But if the code was generated in Virtual ANS app, its length can be much longer - in this case, the playback speed can be changed manually.
1. Please fix the sound issue when you click the start button to free scan images, an the static sounds turn on, sometimes it's extremely loud and it is very annoying and has hurt my ears few times using headphones.
2. Even if your shapes are not anywhere near exact, you can make alien voices come out of your phone from pencil marks on paper! Amazing!Love the app, works great with Virtual ANS installed on a pc to make longer PhonoPaper images/scans.
3. But it has a couple of serious bugs: on my Nexus 5X, the camera image is always upside-down, and when I try to record video, it becomes a stopped frame, and the video is empty.Horrible app in my own experience.
4. This does not happen every time, but more often than not.. Nonetheless it is still fantastic to use on my LG G5, no freezing or lag.ok so I'm giving this 2 star because of it can get better not cause it's bad:1st if we could import sound into app it would be better cause now we have to play the sound and have the app listen to it.
5. Bouncing to midi will be brilliant, my ashtray already plays better tunes than any club or radio station I know of.Would be awesome to have an option to decode an imported image.
6. i have an Samsung galaxy A6 so you could say my phone camera isn't that bad but every time i scan an image that i made with this app it ignores some part of it.
7. COOL.!!! ALSO, neat to just hear what audio signal different images will produce (sounds a lot like feedback), but Cool. It's a great audio toy.
8. Please have sound disabled with warning an a check box saying turn volume down and adjust accordingly or something similar.Really Cool!!! Alternative Language (if used that way).
9. It's neat to print what looks like a Sonar graph on paper, then sweep your camera across that, and your audible spoken words are played.
10. Froze my screen within the first 10 minutes of usage and I was unable to close the program or force my phone to turn off.
11. One really fun thing to try is to say a small phrase, make a code of it, and then try to copy the shapes on blank white paper with a soft pencil.
