1. The beauty of Android is user ability to get behind the curtain and customize (although Google has pulled back on the reigns with Android 10 & 11, which is very frustrating). After 7 years of using it on multiple phones, I feel comfortable saying that Tasker is the best way to customize and automate your device.
2. I have used it to build interfaces to control my phone, setup two-way communication between my Android devices and computers, execute time and voice based home automation and more.
3. I can't fidget with the phone while doing other things so Tasker does the "fidgety" stuff so I can focus on staying upright.
4. That was a piece of cake, and then I figured out about a million other things to do with it: read text messages out loud when the headset I wear when I'm running is connected, switch to vibrate mode when I'm at work, remember the location where I park my car so I can navigate back to it if I forget, and that's just the Bluetooth/WiFi-related ones.
5. Tasker has become an essential part of the Android experience for me; Android just wouldn't be the same without it.Tasker is one of the most useful apps I use.
6. Start by learning basic Tasks like turning on your phone torch (light) and then learn how to do it based on time.
7. But, there are lots of resources out there and the developer is extremely quick and responsive if there's ever the need to contact them.I've been using since ~2014, discovered after an injury left me with vision and balance problems.
8. Only downside is some of the guides are outdated or incomplete and don't seem to be updated.. Hasn't been a huge issue though. This app is extremely powerful and customizable and the developer is very helpful.
9. There is a huge Tasker community that has provided tons of tutorials and guides, not to mention it has the best, most responsive developer I have ever seen.
10. There's a learning curve, for sure, but it's a wildly powerful app.I've tried numerous profile apps and this one is by far and away the easiest to use and it actually works.
11. It has replaced a ton of smaller apps I used to rely on for simple life improvements, and now I can accomplish almost anything I can imagine with Tasker alone.
