1. Compatible with: Joying, Eonon, Grom Vline, Xtrons, PX5 and PX3 units, A-Sure, RK3188 units, RK3066 units, Avin and other Android powered head units.
2. Plug in the USB to your device (in case of tablet use an OTG cable), when prompted make sure you allow HUR to be the default app for the action and you check the always box.
3. If you are running the app on a device with Android 7.
4. If you have any difficulties using the app, or you any support with it, you are always welcome to contact me.
5. Install WiFi Launcher app on the phone!
6. The original idea was developed by the late MICHAEL READ.
1. Constant issues with connectivity and my phone won't connect to the internet now once connected.Amazing!I have a Samsung s6 tablet,I was able to get this to work! If you turn on dev options and select the transfer files option in usb options, you won't have to choose that option each time.I did this setting on both.
2. Incoming calls crash the Headunit Reloaded app, at which point my phone start vibrating from the call, but there is no option to answer it on the phone, because the phone still thinks it's running an Android Auto headunit.
3. To get the app running and usable requires opening Android Auto on the phone, going into developer mode and then turning on "headunit server." Then, I have to turn off WIFI on the phone and turn on my WIFI hotspot.
4. I also have found that if I do not go through all of the same steps to get started, but in reverse, when I leave the car, it causes Headunit Reloaded to crash, and leaves my phone in Android Auto indefinitely, until I force a restart.
5. I plugged my phone in to charge after the update and found USB connection works again! Woo-hoo! I'm very impressed with the new look and overall functionality!Update: It turns out that the cheap USB C cable I was using was causing issues.
6. This lets me call through the car vs it switching to phone.Edit: XDA post explains why tablet won't answer phone calls when tablet is connected to the car via Bluetooth.
7. i have a 3-year old audi that is a real challenge to get any kind of google assisted android auto type setup on the screen without changing the entire mmi system (prohibitive cost-wise and a big project at the least), so i opted for using a small tab loaded with HUR in self mode.
8. The first few days it worked great on my Dasaita android head unit running Android 10 but after a few days, whenever I plug in my Pixel 4 XL (Android 11) it connects, then the app closes, tries to connect again, closes and so forth.
9. Not only do I usually have to restart my phone for each use, but it won't connect to my car's bluetooth when I tether my phone to my Fire tablet 8.
10. The usb cord makes a diff I changed it and now it opens immediately on my tablet! I do have to set up Bluetooth from phone to car for calls and from tablet to car for audio.
11. I was able to get this running on a Lenovo Tab 2 A10 tablet, with Android Auto running on my Samsung Galaxy S9+.
