1. But this one works great on my Moto X4 running Android 9.Seems to work fine for me, but how do I autorun this app after the phone is turned on and how do I keep this app running in the background? I found out by going into the battery settings, then apps.
2. In order to ensure WiFi is left enabled, make sure the Wi-Fi Sharing option is enabled under Mobile Hotspot... otherwise it will disable WiFi upon start and won't re-enable WiFi after Bluetooth disconnect.Had given this 4* but doesnt work as reliably as expected.
3. I was wanting a way for my phone to turn on my Hotspot when it connects to my Nissan Altima Bluetooth so the Alexa Dot in my car could connect to it.
4. If it does I'll update back to 5 starts.Turns on hotspot when Bluetooth device connects as advertise.
5. When my phone connects to the Bluetooth device in my car it turns on my mobile hotspot and turns it off when it disconnects.
6. Iwent done to Android 8.1 which give better user controls BUT starting hotspot as soon as data connect isn't possible.
7. Just got a Pixel 7 (a disappointment of a phone, but that's not the point here) with Android 13 and this so doesn't work.
8. It's good to feel to be in control of our things instead a freaking company who pretend do it for our own good or security... I can manage myself...Tested working on Android 12.
9. Used on a S8+UPDATE: I recently wrote a review for this app saying that, whilst it had worked flawlessly on my Moto G7 Plus, it sadly didn't work on my new Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro.
10. However it does not turn off when you disconnect from Bluetooth device.
11. You have to manually go into Settings -> Apps -> Hotspot Automatic and set "Change system settings" to "Allowed".
