MiP App Customer Insights

1. The only answer online is: turn off both phone and robot and try again ... That is not a complete answer to a problem.honestly a pretty well made app! i could connect my mip easily, and the app kinda unlocks things you couldn't do without the app like control it, make it dance to your music, make it do silly lil sounds, ect.

2. The app does what it says, and it's very simple to set up, for kids or people not tech savvy, but all the permissions are concerning.I can't get MIP to connect to my device, to any device.. z I've changed out batteries, I've used multiple different devices to try and connect, nothing.

3. I've tried resetting the robot, reinstalling the app, and tried the app on different devices and nothing is changes.Thought bugs fixed?? Bluetooth turned on and went in to add new device but the MiP never shows up.

4. My robot turns on, makes sounds, and responds to hand gestures, and it will show up and connect to the app, but doesn't respond to any app controls.

5. Now no matter what we do (turn on bluetooth, change batteries, restart phone, etc.) this white MiP just won't connect.

6. All the videos and "help" pages I've found just say, "turn it off and on again".App doesn't work.

7. Please fix this problem so we could use the app again!! (With our white MiP)How do I get the app to work? Bluetooth is on.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix MiP App Issues

1. Fix MiP App Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart MiP App: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the MiP App App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "MiP App" » Open MiP App » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for MiP App » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear MiP App app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from MiP App servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "MiP App" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check MiP App app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, MiP App might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall MiP App. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall MiP App then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing MiP App not working


2. Fix MiP App Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make MiP App be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to MiP App not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, MiP App may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
