1. 2 weeks later & all we are getting is 'we know something's wrong.' I hope it isn't a coincidence that this terrible response happened shortly after an announced acquisition of Webroot.Their security software is great which is why I keep using their products, but lately they've been plagued by a few different bugs that amount to me paying for features that are not available until fixed.
2. I have deleted the app and will be looking at others when my subscription runs out.Massive battery drain I've been using Webroot for years on Mobile and PC.
3. A recent update has stopped the app from crashing every 2 seconds but now I get a constant stream of notifications that the scan is out of date even immediately after a scan ends.For years I have subscribed to Webroot & used it on my devices.
4. I've been using Webroot for both computer and phone for the last few years.
5. I hope these issues get resolved soon, otherwise I cannot recommend this as a good security app.App last updated more than 2 years ago? I've been a happy customer using their desktop product for several years now.
6. My battery settings pointed to Webroot as the culprit, and I started seeing reviews from other users experiencing the same thing.
7. when both my phone and tablet displayed that over 40% of my battery use went to the Webroot app.
8. Webroot had to be uninstalled for almost a month while they fixed the battery drain issue.
9. Although, in the past week I noticed my phone was getting warm when idle, and the battery was draining at an alarming rate (avg 6 hours vs the normal 26).
10. For fear of damage to my phone due to the excess heat and battery drain, I had to uninstall.
11. The interface is very outdated and i noticed the last update was from July 2019...more than 2 years ago! Clearly no one is maintaining the mobile product.
