VSCO Customer Insights

1. Please fix it! It makes the app essentially unusable for me! As a customer I want the last pagination/scroll position to be maintained when I close a photo I am viewing So that I do not have to scroll through again :) Edit: still not fixed with latest update!This used to be my favorite editing app on mobile, but unfortunately almost every feature I used this app for is locked behind a paywall now.

2. This app is great for editing photos but I will never purchase anything from this incompetent app ever again.I love VSCO! I think it is such a freeing and creative platform that fosters growth with visual medias such as photos and videos.

3. The only problem is in the last year or so when I edit a photo and save it, the pictures quality gets worse and there's no point in editing if the photo looks worse now.

4. Also disappointed in retrospect, because I had bought a bunch of filters years ago only to have lost them when switching phones and VSCO wouldn't even let me restore the purchases before the switch to a membership plan.

5. So, this is a scam.I've been using and enjoying the app and my vsco membership for years.

6. Since the last update, every time I try to edit a photo, it just shows a black screen.

7. It's really unfortunate because I really loved the features.Used to be my go to photo editor and app for over 10 years on numerous devices.

8. Overall, a big financial loss for me.I would rate this a 5 star app because I think it is the best on phone editing software I've used and it is a great non addictive or draining app.

9. Unfortunately I had to try other apps for editing that don't sacrifice picture quality.

10. Theres now a really annoying bug that when you click on to view a photo full screen then X out the scroll resets to the top.

11. The only thing I would change would be: you have an account, and you can post to your profile, but the photos you upload to edit don't stay in the app after being uninstalled.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix VSCO Issues

1. Fix VSCO Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart VSCO: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the VSCO App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "VSCO" » Open VSCO: Photo & Video Editor » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for VSCO » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear VSCO: Photo & Video Editor app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from VSCO servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "VSCO: Photo & Video Editor" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check VSCO app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, VSCO might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall VSCO. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall VSCO then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing VSCO not working


2. Fix VSCO Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make VSCO be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to VSCO not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, VSCO may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
