1. My phone lost 15% battery when I was even charging the phone during the meeting! I'm very confident that my charger and cable and phone still works well but this app really needs major optimization to reduce the power consumption... Also be aware that it won't let you use if you don't give it the permission to access your photos, contacts, and many other files on your phone.Had to download for a doctor's appointment during Covid-19, quality was horrible for the audio and video.

2. My therapist/psychiatrist could see me but all I ever got was a black screen for them... Tried for 5 months, we resorted to Microsoft Teams and haven't had an issue so obviously the problem was Vidyo... (Btw I use a brand new Android platform so...)This app crashes and shuts down so often! Also, there is no option to switch on camera's light, and the camera also cannot adjust itself to the lighting environment.I don't even know where to start... oh wait, one of the main problems with conferencing software is people not muting themselves.

3. My other phone appointments with different apps go just fine but this Dr uses Vidyo and is is worthless.Drain my battery and asks for ALL permissions.

4. - there doesn't seem to be a way to turn off the video image if it isn't being transmitted - there are times I just want to listen and put the phone in my pocket.

5. (It turns out Vidyo doesn't work on Macs either.) Even my doctor complained about having to use Vidyo!Never could get the video right.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Vidyo Issues

1. Fix Vidyo Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Vidyo: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Vidyo App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Vidyo" » Open VidyoMobile » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Vidyo » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear VidyoMobile app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Vidyo servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "VidyoMobile" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Vidyo app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Vidyo might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Vidyo. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Vidyo then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Vidyo not working


2. Fix Vidyo Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Vidyo be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Vidyo not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Vidyo may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
