1. The boarding pass function is a bit buggy, if your connection is even slightly questionable the app has no offline capability, and exploring flight options from the booking screen is a bit of a pain.
2. Using the app takes up time and could be misleading.I'm at the airport, you know my plane is boarding in 5 min...it should not take 6 clicks and eye chart sized text to get to a boarding pass, it's almost like the person that wrote the app has never boarded a plane.
3. Now I can't check in on a web site either - it suggest doing it in the airport.Need improvement: During the check-in process, I completed all information but I was not able to check the box for conformation as it is behind the Continue button so it is basically invisible and there is no way to resize or rotate the screen to see the box.
4. I gave up on the chat(at it for 2 1/2 hours) as a phone call would have been fasterMy husband and I both were unable to watch any media on the United app during our last two flights, we got an error that all the media was unavailable and other patrons had no issue.
5. When I got to check in without a boarding pass, no app, no filled forms and all hoops the app makes you jump through, all I had was my reservation number, they did not even want that!!.
6. Every time I tried to add a debit card, it would give me an error that just said "USER UNAUTHORIZED." After playing that game for thirty minutes, I succumbed to the pressure and put in my credit card, which it accepted.
7. You can't send pictures (like a screenshot of what you're trying to book), can't copy and paste flight info to send to the employee to look up (everything has to be typed out), going back and forth from messages to your cart is also a nightmare.
8. Choosing either option results in a low-level error message which doesn't tell anything useful (at least to me, the numbers and function names must be a treasure trove for the developers).
9. It took six separate actions for me to reach my boarding pass.
10. The app (or the backend) messed up my saved passport data which it used with no issues for prior flights - instead of "US passport" it now shows "US NONE" and I can't change it or "add another" passport.
11. Never had issues when I was buying tickets online with debit.This app puts your next flight right on the home page, which is good.
