Expedia Customer Insights

1. Makes it very inconvenient to have to manually type in all the detailsI don't see any significant savings, on hotels or flights etc...It's just a booking convenience instead of having to wait on hold with airlines or hotels!!! And editing your personal details absolutely the worst, I should be able to put in my name and password, and a security code sent to me via email or text message and change those details with no hassle whatsoever, Expedia sucks, but convenient!!!Absolute garbage.

2. Try to find it in the app? "Something went wrong" looking for a trip you'd booked before, trying to leave a special request note, trying to cancel a booking, same thing.

3. The only reason I'm taking away one star (and it may be an issue with Google) is that suddenly my confirmations to not go to my Google calendar from gmail (this is almost certainly a Google issue)...but there is no work around because Expedia does not have any kind of "share" or "add to calendar" function.

4. And all the rep can say is to change my password eventhough the screen doesn't go beyond trying to enter the email address before giving an error.

5. PS Expedia since you're looking into this, all you have to do is refund the $500 I lost for not buying insurance because of the price hike, and I'll give you 5 stars.

6. If I search properties and can get filters to apply without kicking me out, when I switch to the map view the filters never apply and still show me all properties on the map view.

7. It was the worst hotel in which I've stayed in about 30 years, only eclipsed by a drug dealer infested dump in Amsterdam that charged only $10 a night.

8. Half the time, it will allow me to filter by view, location, etc and the other half, I can only view by how many stars for a hotel and sort.

9. Whenever I try to add filters to properties the whole thing glitches and sends me back to the beginning and I have to start my search all over.

10. (At least that hotel knew it's value.)I can't view, or download any of my itineraries in the app.

11. I also cannot see Affirm using the app.I've used Expedia for years and have been happy.

  4. Check Expedia app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Expedia might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Expedia. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Expedia then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Expedia not working
