1. Updated from 2 to 3 star.I realize that probably 99.995% of users will never be in the reception hole that is my house to uncover this little quirk, but... Why on earth does the app hit the web to check for device compatibility EVERY SINGLE TIME you open it, as opposed to first install? And then fail to open if there's no internet? It opens and closes the lock...eventually. Sometimes it does it with the phone in your pocket, sometimes you have to wake it up, and I haven't figured out the difference.
2. About 80 percent of the time I have to open app, identify lock and then use phone to lock / unlock.
3. App must be started every time the phone is rebooted or it doesn't work.
4. Standing right at the door the lock would not connect (yes the batteries are fine and Bluetooth was on) we were stuck outside! Not reliable! not worth it!Pathetically unreliable.
5. When it does connect with the lock (finds it) it then might take another 30 seconds to 2 minutes (I've timed it) to unlock the lock or time out.
6. As you can see app hasn't been updated since May! Really super cool lock if it workedWorks less than half the time now.
7. Being for opening of deadbolts & locks, this should be extremely reliable, and it's extremely unreliable, rendering it useless.Range is just a bit inadequate, such that phone in pocket is not quite close enough.
8. The rest of the time you have to get your phone out and open the app.
9. Half the time the app doesn't even report the lock status.
10. Invariably, you have to open the app at least once if you should reboot your phone (which is how I discovered that it checks for compatability each time).
11. Two months later e-mailed saying they will update the app for that phone wait for the update.
