1. His location cuts off and only shows if he is actively using the phone instead of all the time which it used to do, which kind of defeats the purpose of me paying extra to have this feature since it doesn't work.

2. Tracking the location doesn't work as it should, the Wi-Fi blocking doesn't actually block the Wi-Fi, it only slows the phone down (which is done as soon as you download the app).

3. This is by far the worst parental control app I've experienced.When we first got the app it was working great, but since the last update the only thing that works properly is the bedtime setting and time usage block.

4. I wouldn't be surprised if I need a new phone after this.When it works, it's great! But more often than not it doesn't work.

5. More trouble than it's worth.This app causes the phone to slow, it drains the battery WAY quicker than normal, and it doesn't even work properly.

If it was free I would figure you get what you pay for, but for the monthly fee, it is criminal to have such a sub par product from a big provider.I've called T-Mobile twice, waited on near eternal hold, listened to garbled country hold music, been transferred to tech support in another country where English isn't their strong point.

7. The idea behind the app is fantastic and I love all the features but every once in a while it doesn't work and that seems to happen when actually trying to use the application.

8. If you change the settings it doesn't update or work at all.

9. Hassle to manage, doesn't work half the time, I finally got rid of it.

10. To top this off if you want anything to work you must restart the phone everytime something isn't working as it should.

11. The app opens on its own to ask and if you don't connect, it just does it again! Not to mention the fact that you cannot access Google! Annoying and a wast of space.Worthless. This app NEVER works, and does not deliver on any of its promises.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix T- Issues

1. Fix T- Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart T-: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the T- App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "T-" » Open T-Mobile® FamilyMode™ » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for T- » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear T-Mobile® FamilyMode™ app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from T- servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "T-Mobile® FamilyMode™" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check T- app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, T- might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall T-. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall T- then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing T- not working


2. Fix T- Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make T- be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to T- not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, T- may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
