TendSecure Customer Insights

1. Is there a way for it to detect motion and alert you but don't alert if it occurs again within 2 minutes? It would also need to record for the entire two minutes or have a timeout setting for when the recording stops after no motion is detected.The last firmware update seems to have disabled the use of solar operation.

2. That may be, but I didn't get success until I pressed the button on the back of the camera, cycling from green/amber, fast blink amber, then slow blink amber.

3. The motion detection works great and the app allows easy review of the recorded video clips.

4. the outdoor camera takes great videis but only picks up movement that is maybe 25 feet? the recordings themselves are often too short and dont pick up a lot of activity.

5. I keep my security camera 3ft from my router but everytime I use the talk back feature the connection seems to be really bad.

6. When I set the camera to slow blink amber it connected almost immediately.

7. When attaching the solar panel to the camera, it doesn't even power it on any longer or indicate a charging lightning bolt icon.

8. It works 75% of the time and the other 25%, it has a lot of issues loading recordings, changing cameras, keeps asking to verify email and won't do it, etc.

9. One camera has problems staying connected and a lot of times, it won't let me turn on the motion sensor.

10. The camera was reasonably priced and the video and sound are clear.

11. This sucks but other than that I love it... Although, I would not have bought it if I knew the talk back feature was going to be useless how it is right now.It works as intended but some improvements are needed.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix TendSecure Issues

1. Fix TendSecure Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart TendSecure: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the TendSecure App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "TendSecure" » Open TendSecure » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for TendSecure » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear TendSecure app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from TendSecure servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "TendSecure" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check TendSecure app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, TendSecure might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall TendSecure. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall TendSecure then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing TendSecure not working


2. Fix TendSecure Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make TendSecure be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to TendSecure not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, TendSecure may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
