1. Not paying.Used it for years with no problem and was actually pretty nice! They changed it with the recent update though that forced me into a free trial of the "pro version" and once that was over the app became unusable unless I pay for it.
2. I think it is fine for them to be "nag ware" and offer a 14-day "Pro" trial if I want it, but they should still allow one to chose the "free" version -- even if it is dated and old.
3. And how am I rewarded for downloading this app onto 4 different phones over the years and recommending it at least 2 dozen times? With an automatic update that turned it into a trial for the paid version without so much as a notification.
4. So what exactly is worth paying for a forced upgrade??Was a great free app that I used for years and recommended to friends.
5. I used this for a couple years with minimal issues, but now suddenly it won't let me access my photos at all and keeps asking for me to buy the full version! Check the other reviews it's a bait and switch.
6. It was simple as free and worked great... Then one day they started advertising a premium version a bit more agressively.
7. I get that the "free" version isn't being updated and that developer time isn't "free" either.
8. Searching for a decent replacement now.I've used this app for years and it was free; an easy way to store my photos and organize them in a way that was more intuitive than Google photos.
9. Google QuickPic Mod... It's absolutely free, open source, and pretty sure it's what this was based around. This was, at one time, the best free gallery I had ever used.
10. The "free" version is just an ad for the "premium" version that does nothing but link to where to buy the other version.
11. Only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because it worked great during the time that it was still usable. For years now, I've used this gallery for it's simplicity and usefulness.
