1. I spent hours prepping photos on my phone after it "updated with my browser changes" only to have to delete my order so I could continue to use the app (I could go on, if not for review limit).

2. However, now I'm having such a hard time getting the app or browser to work I am about to give up and consider it a loss.Super frustrating bug, hasn't been fixed.

10. The picture quality was very good, but the pictures were ALL off center, with heads cutoff, and sceneries cut in half.

11. After using the in-app customer service chat tool, I was able to get store credit towards a redo.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Shutterfly Issues

1. Fix Shutterfly Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Shutterfly: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Shutterfly App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Shutterfly" » Open Shutterfly: Prints Cards Gifts » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Shutterfly » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Shutterfly: Prints Cards Gifts app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Shutterfly servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Shutterfly: Prints Cards Gifts" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Shutterfly app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Shutterfly might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Shutterfly. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Shutterfly then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Shutterfly not working


2. Fix Shutterfly Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Shutterfly be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Shutterfly not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Shutterfly may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
