PlayStation App Customer Insights

1. It gets stuck at the loading screen and it's been lagging more then usual, it's good for downloading the photos from your ps5/ps4 but if you are trying to join a party or send a message it is horrible and won't work sometimes, or it just takes forever to send/join.Not a good app unless you need to give Sony money.

2. How is it possible that a tech company as big as Sony can't develop a properly functioning app? More than 75% of the time while scrolling through, the frame rate drops so slow it can barely register your swiping and simultaneously makes the pictures dissappear while scrolling.

3. Scrolling through the games, I've noticed a crazy amount of lagging and frame drops.

4. It has trouble connecting to voice parties, it's very slow to open the friends menu or the messages menu.

5. Some things I've bought on the wishlist stay on the list and can't be removed unless you sign in on the browser, which is inconvenient when I need space for new games on the list.

6. You have to press the Back button every single page until you get back to the home screen.I am unable to browse titles that are on sale from my tablet.

7. It's a very "Sony" app.Been using the app for years, but is getting worse and worse lately.

8. A couple features I really miss is being able to compare trophies with your friends and view their bio/cover photo.

9. Doing the most basic tasks or even just scrolling feels like the app is going to crash at any given moment.

10. To conclude, the app is perfect for minimal tasks if you have a phone that operates on outdated firmware/software.The app itself is good.

11. I enjoy the share/Capture features because they allow me to upload content at a quicker pace while simultaneously creating new content from my console.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix PlayStation App Issues

1. Fix PlayStation App Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart PlayStation App: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the PlayStation App App. Here is how:

  5. Uninstall and reinstall PlayStation App. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall PlayStation App then reinstall.

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make PlayStation App be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
