JXLCAM Customer Insights

1. Camera acknowledges connection with wi fi to phone with its happy tone & says OK, app should now Open or display a video feed but it simply does Nothing! Did app & manual install, Tried 3 different phones with same results.

2. Even if the camera has motion detection, the app does not record video when motion is detected and it does not send alerts to your phone when motion is detected.

3. It asks for enhanced location through your ip address to be able to pick your router ssid but you cannot choose the field to add this manually or by detecting local ap's like you can in phone settings to switch to a store router, for example.

4. I've been unable to connect my other phone but I suspect that's a phone issue and not the camera.

5. This one does offer motion sensing and 1 or 2 minute auto recording or you can manually record if you want.I like it better than the one that came on my phone.

6. There are other apps that offer more but take up spaceThe app works to move and view the camera.

7. It will not connect to because it says that my router is 5 but it's also capable of 2.4. My other cameras on a different total app have no problems connecting to my Wi-Fi.

8. If I had paid anything for the camera other than shipping cost then I too would be returning the camera for a refund.

9. TWO Thumbs Down.I think it is of poor quality and if it has night Vision I have yet to find it, unless of course you count the floodlights on the camera itself.

10. All in all, it's a great little camera for the price and I definitely recommend it.Trying to add this camera to my home Wi-Fi which is capable of 2.4 and 5.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix JXLCAM Issues

1. Fix JXLCAM Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart JXLCAM: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the JXLCAM App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "JXLCAM" » Open JXLCAM » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for JXLCAM » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear JXLCAM app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from JXLCAM servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "JXLCAM" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check JXLCAM app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, JXLCAM might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall JXLCAM. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall JXLCAM then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing JXLCAM not working


2. Fix JXLCAM Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make JXLCAM be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to JXLCAM not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, JXLCAM may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I can connect the bulb camera through my home(internal network) but cannot connect it when i am out of the house. I reset and set up the camera many times, sometime i can see from external network but maybe only 1 days only. Then it cannot connect to the camera "connecting the camera" offline. If i changed to the home network, then i can see the camera. Is there something that i need to do to me router such as port forward or DNS??

  • I have set the Motion Detection too high. At night I have to get withen inches for the white lights to work, but if I have alittle light and motion the white lights go on right now .
    is something wrong with the sensor?

  • I purchased your jxlcam from Amazon a few weeks ago and am just trying to set it up. I have followed the directions in the little manual, gone on line and followed the setup instructions and cannot get the camera to connect. There is no setup indicator light showing, but the light flash on for a second and then nothing. It does not connect to the wi-fi regardless of what I try. Can you please help and have someone call me to walk thru the setup or determine if the camara is bad?

    My phone number is 360-607-1908 and we live in Ridgefield, WA - Pacific Time Zone.

  • I can’t connect my camera to the network. Says network not found. I’m using A fios G3100 router. What am I doing wrong?
