1. Fix GoodNovel Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart GoodNovel: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the GoodNovel App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "GoodNovel" » Open GoodNovel - Web Novel, Fiction » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for GoodNovel » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear GoodNovel - Web Novel, Fiction app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from GoodNovel servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "GoodNovel - Web Novel, Fiction" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check GoodNovel app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, GoodNovel might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall GoodNovel. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall GoodNovel then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing GoodNovel not working


2. Fix GoodNovel Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make GoodNovel be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to GoodNovel not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, GoodNovel may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I started reading novel When His Eyes Opened for free and now I have been charged almost $45 and I am only half way through the book. Not only that, every time I go to the App another book starts that I did not order but feel quite sure that I am being charged for it. There are now 6 books sitting in my library that I did not order. How can you just start putting them in my account and charging me for them when I didn't request them. I could have bought several books for the $45 charge (which is BS I might just add) just to try to finish one. This should not ever be allowed to happen. I want to finish the one book I started but I will definitely not be ordering any more and for the frustration you have caused me I believe that you should let me finish the novel When His Eyes Opened and refund my money since you charged $30.26 in 2 days! What a rip off!!

  • I brought 1150 credits for GoodNovel yesterday evening, Each chapter has automatically unlocked as I’ve gone without giving me an option to unlock.   • Im really frustrated snd upset. I have 2 novels on the go as one came to a halt as it wasn’t completed. Was being fed chapters bit by little bit once hopefully a week a 4min read at best. So i saw another one of her novels. Started reading this book, thinking that it was finished as she is writing the one i was in the midst of reading. Get part way through that book, and guess what, NOT FINISHED EITHER! This is more than ridiculous! She keeps giving excuses about her other writing job being to to demanding we are paying fees, how does she think this going to go over with readers?? Im so upset and angry! I am going yo make sure my book group, and my friends on facebook and anybody else that i can too know what a scam and how much money it costs to not even get s full book in because the author is writing multiple at the same time! Your obviously ok with it! So many, many others agree they are writing negative comments. It can be spread over tik tok and instagram! This is taking advantage of people! Not cool!     I am writing this letter to implore you to please help pull down my book from your app as I am not happy.

    First of, I had wanted and requested for an exclusive contract believing it will be more effective for my book and more fruitful for the company. This was through one of your recruiting editors, Samuel Tinubu, but I got a non exclusive contract. Eager to get my book in front, I signed it and now I am not happy with the way the agreement is turning out.
    At any rate, I regret any and every inconvenience this whole ordeal must have brought upon your company, in addition to the fact that my book isn't bringing the company any earnings.
    We can call this the early termination of contract, the cooling off stage. However, I believe it's to the happiness of the company once my book gets pulled down because it is a realistic psychological thriller where as GoodNovel thrive on fantasy and romance; lighter mood stories. That is probably why I was given the non exclusive contract.
    My book isn't thriving on your app as over six weeks has passed and it hasn't had any increase in readers nor has it ever earned any income.
    This removal of my book will be at no cost to your company as I have never been paid nor is it earning for your company.
    I will truly be grateful when my book is removed and the request for termination of contract is granted. This will better help me to set my book for it's fitting opportunities.
