Dictionary Customer Insights

1. But now it's RIDICULOUSLY BLOATED with ads and scrolling is almost useless, since half the time when I contact the screen to scroll, it interprets it as a single tap and jumps to the definition of the word that was on screen where I touched, with no way to navigate back to the previous entry.

2. The touch feature (allowing user to tap almost any word on screen and link to its definition), while potentially very handy, is WAY too sensitive, making the simple act of scrolling up or down a nightmare.

3. Touch the screen to scroll down to read more of the description and etymology, and suddenly your at the definition of a word used in the description.

4. one can save words, see recent lookups, access the thesaurus, (and save words from there as well), and read the information provided about the word of the day.

5. I was looking for a dictionary app with quick lookups and no distractions of all the extra features trying to build a mapping system of my brain to give me a great user experience.

6. I do wish more articles were available in the app, but I'm fine using the website for those, (exceptional writing, btw).Takes too long to find a simple definition and the user interface is jumble confusing buttons.

7. It is now inundated with ads, and when you type in a word, the word comes up, but every time you go to slide up or down, a new word pops up in the search block, forcing you to starr over.

8. In the meantime, a simply search for "define: [word]" is infinitely better than a CLUNKY app that wastes onboard memoryA dictionary app is a great tool, and MW's pedigree is undeniable.

9. Very frustrating.Handy dictionary except the hyperlinks on words in the descriptions get activated accidently when scrolling down.

10. I'd like that fixed. This used to be my favorite app on my phone for looking up quick definitions of words, especially during my morning Bible study.

11. Ads now pop up and cover the whole screen, and it takes significantly longer to load definitions and searches, especially compared to how it used to be near-instantaneous.
