11. R Discovery is a free app for students and researchers to find and read research papers.
1. A very effective no-fuss browsing process made by categorizing study papers & journals Topic's together allowing the user a quicker way of finding the relevant studies of interest to readers. It's a great for scholars who are enthusiastic in research and this app keeps me updated everytime based on the domain I choose which is very easy to continue my exploring in research.
2. It's a great premise but it's very slow, very clunky and I mainly got it for the audio feature, in order to be able to listen to research papers but this feature only seems to be able to read abstracts which makes it basically useless.Unfortunately had to uninstall immediately since it was not possible to create an account.
3. It has so much lag that the good recommendations are nearly useless because of time waste.I often have the problem of finding free complete research papers.
4. However, I give it four star for the app is quite slow and always redirect to vidmate when I click on pdf.User-friendly, free of ads, and personalized feed... and free (at least until now😉).
5. E.g. I want to read articles related to disinformation and fake news, but only articles in anthropology and communication science.
6. I don't need to know "fake news detection methods" common in engineering journals or "sentiment analysis of fake news".
7. This app offers many free full papers to read.
8. For one, I wish I could filter the feed by language and topic, and perhaps create separate feeds.
9. A way to filter those out would be great. The app is generally good and does what it says.
10. Most articles on pubmed only the abstract is free to read.
11. Obversely developed with the user in mind by integrating a simple automated search engine feature.
