PrePass Customer Insights

1. It just shows "driving mode" sign and when approach weigh station changes picture with a yellow sign with "0 miles" on screen...wow! There goes your time and money uninstalled!This app seems to be completely useless.

2. My PrePass account and transponder are active, my vehicle shows in the app, I have the vehicle selected, yet when I enter "Driving Mode," NOTHING ever happens, and there's no Last Decision history! I've called PrePass repeatedly about this issue, and all I get is the run-around! Nothing but excuses and flat-out lies.

3. I start the app it authenticates, says start trip... Then does nothing for the entire trip.Maybe this is user error, every time I open this app it has to be up on the screen for it to work with my Garmin dezl.

4. I'm going to cancel and go back to Drivewyze, which is truly a MOBILE-FIRST solution.These are scam artists who plan on your not being able to prove you cancelled their plan, if you're in a truck, which app, by the way, doesn't work AT ALL, with just the app.

5. They said "it works along with your device" ?!? Not to mention you have to be at least 30min on hold to get to talk to them so they can set you up with a totally random password to use app that does NOTHING.

6. Save username and password option would be helpful as well!Whats the point of an app when you need the transponder? im confused.

7. Got my username and password set up but the app doesn't recognize my username.

9. This app needs to be removed from the app store!I would love to give your service a try, unfortunately every time I try to call to sign up I get hung up on.

10. Really poor design and frankly I'm disappointed that I spent the money for the subscription.Absolutely useless app and waste of their money.

11. For that matter the device is hit and miss too! They will bill you and keep on billing you no matter how many times you cancel, until you get a lawyer to sue them.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix PrePass Issues

1. Fix PrePass Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart PrePass: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the PrePass App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "PrePass" » Open PrePass for TSPs » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for PrePass » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear PrePass for TSPs app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from PrePass servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "PrePass for TSPs" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check PrePass app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, PrePass might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall PrePass. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall PrePass then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing PrePass not working


2. Fix PrePass Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make PrePass be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to PrePass not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, PrePass may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
