1. Also on IOS devices, the same problem.No internet connection error is just so annoying and I have the premium version so I can be able to see the translation even with the error but it is not enough.

2. It doesn't connect to the Internet, it says that there are no translations available, and, in the rare cases it does work, it's become incredibly slow.

3. Apart from ads blocking big chunk of the screen I also get commercial video playing after I search for a word, and after that it throws an internet connection error.

4. 7 out of 10 times, I get an error message "cannot connect to the internet" even on the best of networks (Wifi and Mobile data both).

5. Tip for developers: for learning purpose it would be great to be able to slow down the spoken translation.An excellent dictionary showing the possible uses of words.

6. Recently it basically stopped working entirely, I only get an error message that no translation was found, even though the app itself suggested the word while typing.

7. Pity.Error "cannot connect to the internet" has been occurring for a long while now, without a fix.

8. It's just awesome! I love especially the vocal translation: push button, speak, listen (and read) translation in different language - Done.

9. 3 stars for when it used to be helpful during a language course.The app requires cache cleanup frequently as it keeps claiming having no network connection despite being connected.

11. It's sad that devs ruin a perfect app with useless updates that ruin UX.This used to be my go-to dictionary, and I have happily paid for the ad-free version for several years.

1. Fix PONS Translate Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart PONS Translate: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the PONS Translate App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "PONS Translate" » Open PONS Translate » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for PONS Translate » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear PONS Translate app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from PONS Translate servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "PONS Translate" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check PONS Translate app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, PONS Translate might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall PONS Translate. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall PONS Translate then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing PONS Translate not working

2. Fix PONS Translate Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make PONS Translate be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to PONS Translate not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, PONS Translate may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
