1. Pocket Optics provides an interactive demonstration of basic principles of geometric (ray) optics.
2. Point light sources with variable opening angles and optical beams with variable width.
3. Fully interactive touch interface (stylus or compatible mouse is recommended for precision). 2.
4. Optics professionals can use it for basic ray and image tracing. 1.
5. Supports various screen resolutions - from small phones to large tablets and Android TVs. 3.
6. Visual Help illustrates all interactive features.
7. Traces images of an Object throughout the optical system. 8.
8. Coordinate grid (can be turned off in Settings). 10.
9. Optic components can be snapped to a smaller grid. 11.
10. Adjustable focal lengths for Lenses and Mirrors. 6.
11. Bench configurations can be saved on device for future use. 9.
1. Along with some other information as text, as a mode that you activate in the settingsit is one extremely powerful and useful tool; however, it's a bit difficult to employ, giving the impression the developer created it for personal use, only sharing it out of convenience (and i thank you for it).
2. It's a good start, both for the developer and whoever has the nerdacity to engage this offering.Very helpful app But it will batter if concave lens and convex mirror are also availablePerfect, although i prefer having an option to choose values by entering numbers instead of pixel perfect dragging.
3. Once again ,whole hearted thanx ,thsnGreat learning app ☘️🍀 a more specific app that you can apply mathematical directions that bounce of the mirrors🌍🛸space navigation and laser security systems ⚓Time saver.. pls add more customisation options.
4. minor issues with gui on handling colimated light sources, it enters in resize mode, but it doesn't seem to respond to resize.
5. thank you!I just used this because I wanted to double check if i could increase the range of my infrared sensor using lenses.
6. overall, its capability far, far outweighs any minor shortcomingslove this little thought lab, helps clarify ideas.
7. Not mind blowing but it did its job.Thanx a lot sir, for such an innovative app.User friendly GUI , simple & innovative.
8. Million worth downloading for all physics learners It vlb very useful for students .
9. Wavelength dependent refraction and a prism object couldn't hurt.
10. The ability to visualize non-uniform lenses would be nice.
11. I'd pay real money for a third dimension.
