About Pocket MIDI

1. This is not a simple "Piano Keyboard", because it supports 128 musical instruments, including Piano, Dulcimer, Accordion, Harmonica, Guitar, Bass, Violin, Trumpet, Sax, Flute, Banjo, Tinkle Bell, etc. - 3 keyboard layouts: 21 Keys, 36 Keys and 72 Keys. - 4 label options: "CDEFGAB", "Do Re Mi Fa Sol La Si", "1234567" and Disable. - 5 languages for the instrument list: English, France, Spanish, Chinese and Japanese.

2. Looked promising.. However the biggest turnoff was that The Note sound goes off even when key is still pressed.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Pocket MIDI Issues

1. Fix Pocket MIDI Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Pocket MIDI: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Pocket MIDI App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Pocket MIDI" » Open Pocket MIDI » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Pocket MIDI » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Pocket MIDI app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Pocket MIDI servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Pocket MIDI" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Pocket MIDI app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Pocket MIDI might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Pocket MIDI. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Pocket MIDI then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Pocket MIDI not working


2. Fix Pocket MIDI Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Pocket MIDI be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Pocket MIDI not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Pocket MIDI may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
