1. I also love the new pressure alert feature!Awesome App, works great, makes brushing fun again! Update: was working great, after a few software updates, it stopped keeping a record of brush time, times fine while brushing, but when you finish, 00.00 brushing time shows on the display, uninstalled, reinstalled, still wont work, very disappointed in the app...the brush works great... UPDATE: the last update seems to have fixed the problem, it's working fine now... Thanks to the App.

2. FEATURE REQUEST: let users indicate missing teeth!! It naturally takes less time to brush an area with fewer than normal teeth.Honestly, I thought this would be a pointless and gimmicky app, but I was surprised to find it was actually super helpful in my brushing routine (I have an iO Series 6).

3. 3 months later I gave it another try and it worked this time on my new phone.)I thought this would be stupid but there are some great features (eg different brushing modes, pressure sensor, replacement head reminders).

4. When connected it works perfectly, but for some reason when it's time to brush again toothbrush doesn't want to connect at all and i have to restart my phone which will become annoying really fast.

5. Thanks, Oral-B, for this great product!Updated review: My initial issue was after a few days, the app wouldn't sync data or allow me to change settings anymore, and eventually wouldn't even connect to my brush without deleting/re-pairing the brush.

6. 4 stars bc it was such a hassle to sync the brush in the beginning it actually delayed my getting started by a few months (ADHD/bipolar - the hassle was not user error and it was so complicated trying to get help I just gave up after a few hours.

7. So I tried it on my backup Samsung phone and guess what? It works great the first time, then won't connect or sync thereafter.

8. Being able to set your own time (my periodontist wants me to brush 4 minutes instead of the generally-recommended 2 minutes), see the timer, and the quadrants that you've brushed is nice.

9. This last time, my brushing session was recorded as "unguided", even though the app showed I had brushed all areas 100%.

10. The brush doesn't always correctly detect where I'm brushing, but I am more concerned with knowing I am brushing correctly than winning a tooth-brushing game.

11. I have also noticed that even before the update, the app wasn't accurately showing the battery level.Inconsistent. Sometimes the tooth tracker works just fine and other times if I have to turn off the app and toothbrush to get it to re synchronize (then get a "fail" session).

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Oral-B Issues

1. Fix Oral-B Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Oral-B: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Oral-B App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Oral-B" » Open Oral-B » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Oral-B » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Oral-B app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Oral-B servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Oral-B" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Oral-B app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Oral-B might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Oral-B. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Oral-B then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Oral-B not working


2. Fix Oral-B Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Oral-B be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Oral-B not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Oral-B may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

Hi. I would like to have my Oral-B account deleted under the GDPR law. These days I feel that every piece of my private life is getting "stolen" and I wouldn't like to have an additional account and therefore more privacy taken away from me. I have an Oral-B iO Series 9 and I have brushed with the app opened only once (there are three sessions). I am informed that if you don't compliant there is a penalty (4% of the annual turnover to be exact). Thank you for your time.

I bought my electric toothbrush in January of this year. I recently plugged it in as usual overnight, and the next morning it showed fully charged. When I turned it on to use it, there was no power. I tried this several times with the same result.
