What users are saying

1. The app will notify me of movement detected but it's hard to pull up the live feed quickly from the notification, but that could be my wireless network more than app issues (I was surprised my camera could get wi-fi honestly).

2. However, I usually can pull up live feed by going through app and skipping the notification.Cameras are always armed even when unarmed in the app.

3. I would have been better off spending $20 for two dummy cameras! At least I wouldn't have expected them to record when an event happened.

4. 80% of the time the live feed won't load or takes forever to load.

8. I have noticed there have been updates released since I got the app and I believe that it will continue to improve.The old saying " you get what you pay for" definitely applies to your product.

11. Unless you like a lot of aggravation people , spend your money on something else! Undependable and problematic!!!!!Overall, I am very happy with both the app and the camera.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix SAFE Issues

1. Fix SAFE Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart SAFE: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the SAFE App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "SAFE" » Open SAFE by Swann » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for SAFE » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear SAFE by Swann app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from SAFE servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "SAFE by Swann" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check SAFE app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, SAFE might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall SAFE. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall SAFE then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing SAFE not working


2. Fix SAFE Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make SAFE be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to SAFE not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, SAFE may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
