SmartCom Customer Insights

1. We purchased a sofa that we cannot use the lights for! Please update the app.I can't use the app because my phone is too new/updated?! The app is the only way to control the lighting on my couch and is now useless because of this issue (running Android 13).

2. wish there were color options.It worked on my phone and then after an Android update, no longer works.

3. A patch would be nice.The description said I would be able to control memory settings and the like.

4. The worst part is the app is the only way you can control the lights on the sofa.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix SmartCom Issues

1. Fix SmartCom Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart SmartCom: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the SmartCom App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "SmartCom" » Open SmartComfortPro » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for SmartCom » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear SmartComfortPro app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from SmartCom servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "SmartComfortPro" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check SmartCom app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, SmartCom might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall SmartCom. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall SmartCom then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing SmartCom not working


2. Fix SmartCom Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make SmartCom be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to SmartCom not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, SmartCom may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
