TIC-80 Customer Insights

1. Fifth of all, SURF crashes like... ALL the time in the Demos section, and ESPECIALLY in the Games section as well. It's great - plays carts perfectly and had great on-screen controls (which I think the web player could use, honestly) - however if I lock my phone or switch apps for a moment, when I come back to it I get a black screen and have to restart the app.

2. However, if you can get past the vertical learning curve (not many tutorials, documentation is pretty sparse), it is an incredibly powerful game engine, working on mobile no less! I remember when I was younger and wanted to make games on my phone, but I didn't find any apps like this.

3. Please let us use the normal phone's keyboard, I understand wanting to make the experience all cutesy and as old looking as possible, but we have to code stuff and doing so with a proper keyboard is key.Great concept, very poor execution.

4. Even if I would've found one, I don't think I could've learnt to use it :)) but still, it's incredibly satisfying to be able to do it now :DIt's great, I tend to like fantasy computers with more forgiving space limits but it's still pretty good.

5. It's very annoying and makes it much harder to play games on it.It's usable for tinkering with (I just have to turn my phone 90° sometimes to be able to change editors).

6. Honestly cant wait for them to update this even if it just fixes one of those errors, but for now this is unusable.I can't even describe how much I love this... The PC version is way better, the UX is a lot smoother but the mobile app is great for experimenting when you're away from your PC.

7. App fails to reload after switching back, custom keyboard sucks, and the app crashes from loading certain things because of mishandled memory.

8. I would appreciate having shift lock instead of having to hold it since typing in brackets is a little difficult, but other than that I don't have many complaints. The buttons are too small, especially the editor.

9. Would've been great if it's just resized a bit more larger so it's easy to navigate, or just give us an option to customize the screen size.

10. Fourth, if you start SURF, rotate the device to landscape and exit SURF, it keeps making new lines until you rotate back to portrait.

11. coz its so good in logic.Lovely. But the soft keyboard included is atrocious.
