1. I'm calling the appliance store next.I was surprised to learn, after spending almost $2,000 on a new "smart" Maytag washer and dryer, that I needed a subscription, with a cost attached (after free trial), to use the technology.
2. So completely relying on the app can be frustrating, but when it is working properly it saves me extra trips down to my lower level to check load times and to restart the dryer when I know it needs a little more time.The app worked fine for months and now it will not work at all.
3. I've owned the device for 3 months, left several trouble call issues through the app and not had one response to resolve.It's better than nothing...? I mainly use it to notify me when a cycle is complete, but one major feature that's missing is the ability to notify me when the washer is "out of balance".
4. Amazing.Downloaded this app for my new smart enabled washer dryer but haven't been able to log in after creating an account and verifying via email.
5. I'd rather it just pause and notify me when the balance is off instead of wasting time and water until I realize what is happening.The app is a complete waste of time.
6. Worst of all, the company is sneaky about charging a subscription fee (per appliance!) for their app that doesn't do much more than tell you that the wash/dry cycle is done.
7. My washer will keep adding and draining water to try and re-balance itself instead of letting me know it needs help, which it ALWAYS does when this happens.
8. It doesn't provide any update as to wait time or caller number in queue.
9. Also, if there is a power failure on the appliance, there is no "reset" on the app and cannot clear it even though the machine is working.
10. I would think someone less technically inclined would not be able to overcome these hurdles.My only complaint is when it suddenly stops sending the cycle signals to my phone.
11. Called customer support number in the app and the option selection didn't work, so I had to find another number.
