1. Works on physical remote, but using the app, that button doesn't show on any screen! What's the point of letting you create a button if you can't access it when/where you need it?? Going back to physical remote where I have instant access to everything.Ok, so here's the deal.
2. It shouldn't be this hard to set-up, though, I had a lot of trouble with the WiFi connection If you don't use the remote activity button, then it doesn't know what thing it is supposed to control, so if you use the phone app and then try to use the remote, there is a disconnect.
3. How can this be a problem after all this time?It worked well for a good bit, but these past few weeks have just been a "Connecting to Harmony Servers" death loop that ends in an error message about the servers being unavailable.
4. Considering the rave reviews of the device, and the length of time Logitech has been in this industry, it should be a point of shame for all those involved to put out such a poor product.
5. Using the phone as a remote control works pretty well though.
6. I don't do it often, but it's nice to have the option for times when I don't want to get up and get the real remote, or I'm busy in the kitchen but want to turn on the news without going to the living room.
7. At one time, I had already convinced a few friends to get one for themselves, that ended when I discovered this completely unresolved issue.Increasing stars to be an app review (not entire system), as the app supports a lot of things.
8. The app's remote control UI mirrors that of the actual Elite remote.Only useful for setup.
9. Harmony Hub is an amazing device, it does wonderful things, and makes things so much easier to control.
10. I am an experienced network admin, and I know that everything in my home's network is set exactly the way they should be for this device to work, but it doesn't matter, it just doesn't work.
