1. Create your own flashcard decks or download free decks compiled for many languages and topics (thousands available).
2. It is fully compatible with the spaced repetition software Anki (including synchronization), which is available for Windows/Mac/Linux/ChromeOS/iOS.
3. Add material through the desktop application Anki or directly through Ankidroid.
4. Make good use of idle times on bus trips, in supermarket queues or any other waiting situation!
5. AnkiDroid lets you learn flashcards very efficiently by showing them just before you would forget.
6. Study all sorts of things wherever and whenever you want.
7. The application even supports adding material automatically from a dictionary! Need support?
1. (Look up "comprehensible input" and "compelling input" and "TPRS".) If you make your own cards for long term use, I recommend creating and storing the work primarily on your computer first, because of scares I've had that there could be some failure in the app.Great app.
2. Make it easier to edit decks, provide the option to flip the front of back of the cards in the app when studying, and maybe down the line add features like study games.
3. You could easily end up spending more time customizing Anki than using it.I like the app and idea of it, but it needs to be much more intuitive to use, I can look up information on how to use the app fine but would prefer to have clearer labels like a pencil icon on a deck to edit it.
4. My personal feeling is that the browser version of Anki is better if data and network access aren't a problem and if you aren't making cards on the go.
5. For example, if I'm studying vocab, and a mnemonic suddenly strikes me, I can edit my card right then and there, I don't have to wait to go to my computer when I'll most likely have forgotten my inspiration.
6. This is an issue since going by default, you can't tell which icon does what.▫️The statistics are intimidating to look at, no graphs just a bloat load of numbers.▫️Can't review without timers.
7. I love this app bc I can review and edit my cards from my phone.
8. This is extremely annoying, because I'm very busy (like most people) and sometimes I want to add a few cards while I have a moment and then come back to add the rest when I have time.
9. It doesn't, for example, tell you *where* to find various settings (I had to search through a lot of menus to find options specified in the documentation).
10. AnkiDroid makes card-making more tenable, but in my experience it's still a bit arduous compared to the desktop version, though I must say the fault lies entirely with the use of an Android portable device and not at all with the application.
11. Benefits though, the app is very light weight, native dark mode is nice, and customization is excellent.Love whiteboard feature.
The changes I made to ankiweb are not syncing to ankidroid flashcards. They used to, but now they don't. Can you help me with this please?
