1. Appalling.Diabolical. Managed to get the app to connect to the device after many attempts, then eventually managed to get the ridiculous double tap to work to initiate the firmware update, which never completed, now cannot even get the app to connect to the device again.
2. Won't find Forcelink wrist device so can't update firmware - so characters (Chewie/ Rathtar etc) won't react to wrist device as meant to - just triggers irritating voice repeating message 'firmware update required'.
3. (2) started the update and showed a % progress bar rather than hanging on an updating screen with no % status and no error.Bluetooth connection doesn't work - tried on 3 modern Android phones.
4. To think that it required TWO versions of this device to work on most (not all) of the toys, now to be just a useless attatchment to a cardless figure, poses more hubris than the Jedi Order has ever been able to achieve.
5. Random, uncontrolled phrases and sounds FX produced only with a ton of trial and error trying to find the device's sweet spot, an extremely unintiutive app (this one) that takes too much memory from a smartdevice, and all of this just to expire after a movie has gone through the riggermarole of its advertising campaign (from theater to video/streaming).
6. I bought this wristband along with several toys for my son including the Millennium Falcon and other vehicles in the firmware update simply will not work.
7. Once the app syncs to the device it needs about 2 hours to update the firmware and while doing this it leaves the screen on.
8. As a result, about half the figures we have say "firmware update required."It was fun while it lasted... when it decided to work.
9. sometimes it will not even find the device other times when it does find the device it will not completely update past 65%.
10. Also, make sure that you are using a compatible mobile device, (list on the Hasbro website), or, like so many other reveiwers have discovered, you won't be able to sync with the gauntlet.
11. That's before we start the update procedure and the near impossible "tap twice" These toys are still in sale but the app hasn't been updated for 2 years.
