1. I really expected more from German engineering and customer UX.. 2 stars, since it gives me the impression to have my water pipes under control.Had this product for over a year now.

2. The Grohe Sense water security kit is an excellent product and has detected problems I've had in the past.

3. It's waste of time for re-login and potential risk of missing warning.Keep blinking yellow (orange), can't connect no matter what I do.

4. I believe this product to be a benefit to any home as it can help avoid damage due to water leaking.

10. App was uninstalled, but when pressing login button on Welcome screen, it shortly tries to load something new, but returns to Welcome screen.Set up is a horrible UX.

11. Never gets farther then step 5 where it says it's connecting to Wi-Fi, window collapses but never continues to final initialization.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix GROHE Sense Issues

1. Fix GROHE Sense Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart GROHE Sense: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the GROHE Sense App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "GROHE Sense" » Open GROHE Sense » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for GROHE Sense » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear GROHE Sense app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from GROHE Sense servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "GROHE Sense" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check GROHE Sense app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, GROHE Sense might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall GROHE Sense. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall GROHE Sense then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing GROHE Sense not working


2. Fix GROHE Sense Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make GROHE Sense be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to GROHE Sense not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, GROHE Sense may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
