Gridwise Customer Insights

1. There's no reason every time my GPS moves 5 meters that I should have this app wake itself up and start draining my resources to track *what it wasn't told I needed tracked yet* Fix the annoying auto-activation and I might even consider paying for pro.

2. I drive Friday through Tuesday, which breaks up my tracked data.Do NOT use this app to track mileage for gig work.

3. It's high potential value, but needs work.It doesn't accurately track miles.

4. It tracked all 10 hours I was driving yesterday, but only showed a little under ten miles driven.

5. The tracker shows running in the background but the miles aren't added upb properly sometimes.

6. It recorded a fraction of miles (22 for the 120+ that i drive) and this isn't the first time it's shorted me.

7. For example, it shows 22 miles when I've been driving all day across multiple cities.

8. For example, yesterday it tracked over 500 miles but I most definitely did not drive that much.

9. for example: in 1 month I physically had only 346 miles, but Gridwise tracked over 2000 miles.

10. You're better off with a mileage tracker that works.this app is very good for tracking mileage and expenses... as long as you put all of that in manually.

11. That and the GPS tracking often fails and shows a straight line, so you aren't tracked accurately.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Gridwise Issues

1. Fix Gridwise Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Gridwise: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Gridwise App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Gridwise" » Open Gridwise: Gig-Driver Assistant » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Gridwise » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Gridwise: Gig-Driver Assistant app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Gridwise servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Gridwise: Gig-Driver Assistant" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Gridwise app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Gridwise might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Gridwise. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Gridwise then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Gridwise not working


2. Fix Gridwise Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Gridwise be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Gridwise not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Gridwise may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I recently subscribed to grid wise plus. I gave them my credit card information and they charged me for my 1st month. One of the benefits, and really the only reason I joined was to reap the benefits of the grid wise plus gas buddy card. I have contacted them and they responded. The woman that responded checked with gas buddy and they told her that I had a gas buddy card but I allowed it to expire. It expired in 2020. I have sent several emails trying to determine whether or not I was gonna get my grid wise plus gas buddy card and have not gotten a satisfactory response. There is no phone number to contact them and there's no response to my emails. All I want is my grid wise plus gas buddy card.
