1. Great idea and want to benefit from the discount, but much more needs to be done to make this app worthy to be called SmartPath.App constantly mistakes my daughter as the driver rather than the passenger... Even when it should be obvious since she spent the entire drive playing a game on her phone while I was driving.

2. This app ought to be able to differentiate between the teen driver and the parents however it does not.App doesn't work.

3. It does not track teen properly and sometimes uses the parents drive as a teen drive.

4. At least the app allows the teen to change from driver to passenger so she isn't getting dinged all the time.

5. Also should not need to track physical activities of teen or parents or monitor phone.

6. My teen can't access/open the app on her phone to tell it she isn't driving.

7. This current app that the parents are to have on phone treats them as the teen.

8. I've heard far more comments about her battery life than I had previously, even though location services were always on anyway.Interesting concept however, there needs to be a different app for the parents.

1. Fix Hanover SmartPath Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Hanover SmartPath: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Hanover SmartPath App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Hanover SmartPath" » Open Hanover SmartPath » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Hanover SmartPath » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Hanover SmartPath app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Hanover SmartPath servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Hanover SmartPath" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Hanover SmartPath app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Hanover SmartPath might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Hanover SmartPath. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Hanover SmartPath then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Hanover SmartPath not working


2. Fix Hanover SmartPath Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Hanover SmartPath be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Hanover SmartPath not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Hanover SmartPath may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
