1. Edited: since the update this morning, nothing is working!! This is so frustrating!It used to work great, but now the location notifications are delayed anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours.
2. This is by far one of the worst "upgrades" an AP has made.Ever since this new update it doesn't track my daughters location.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Google Family Link Issues
1. Fix Google Family Link Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:
- Restart Google Family Link: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
- Update the Google Family Link App. Here is how:
- On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Google Family Link" » Open Google Family Link » click "Update".
- On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Google Family Link » click "UPDATE".
- Clear Google Family Link app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Google Family Link servers.
- On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Google Family Link" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
- Check Google Family Link app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Google Family Link might not work.
- Uninstall and reinstall Google Family Link. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Google Family Link then reinstall.
- Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Google Family Link not working
2. Fix Google Family Link Server issues & Internet Connection
- Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Google Family Link be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
- Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Google Family Link not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
- Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Google Family Link may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

Я установила на телефон ребенка приложение Family Link. Приложение увидело данный аккаунт nadezdarybakova353@redacted, предложило в него войти. Здравствуйте помогите восстановить аккаунт ребёнка на планшете Так как аккаунт был удалён и заблокировалась всё и невозможно зайти на планшет. Сломали экран через несколько лет сделали и забыли что там есть родительский контроль. Получается нельзя было войти в аккаунт писали какие-то ошибки решили другое создать аккаунт только без родительского контроля. Тут же приходит оповещение что аккаунт ребёнка удалён и тут же блокируется родительским контролем весь планшет. И чтобы зайти разблокировать нужен код доступа родителя но так как у меня сломанный телефон и я не помню информацию которая была какой аккаунт там был привязан и как посмотреть тоже не могу. My controlling, abusive ex partner has gone, he is not allowed to contact me due to bail conditions imposed on him. However, he is still controlling me with technology. We had a Family Link account mainly to monitor our son's Chrome book usage. My ex was the 'Family Manager' I used to have access to the account, but now he has reduced me to 'member' status, so I am not able to do anything at all with my son's usage. My ex can still monitor our son, his usage and his (and ultimately my location) despite not having seen him for 3 months. What are my options to be able to remove my son from this Family Link account? Would I have to set up a new Google account for my son? If so would he then lose all his apps?

Good Day Please can you assist? I have downloaded the App & I am trying to set up my child's device.(Note that supervision was stopped previously). These are the steps shown below on my app. When I select Signed-in devices on my child's device I get the error" Something went wrong. Try again later." I've tried to factory reset his device but get the message: "Action not allowed You do not have permission to perform this action. Contact your organization's IT administrator for more information." I installed family link a on mine and my daughters phone back in/around January and my daughter no longer uses the phone we had installed it on. I cannot get the application off of the phone period. I've tried to factory reset my phone and it wont allow it at all I don't have the application any longer on my cell nor access to the email it was attached to. So now I have a samsung galaxy 7 with a family link administrator lock on it. Can someone please help me so I can get it removed from my cell. Please and thank you

I added my 12 yr old daughter's email (tessa.staccini@redacted) to family link under my account. The problem is that on her phone she already has another account for school (tessa.staccini-1@redacted) which is connected to the school's G-suite. Now I cannot add her account back on to her phone as it says that no other accounts can be on the phone when installing her account. I am worried that if I delete her school account and then add hers, that I won't be able to re-install the school account afterwards. I am just tempted to change her birthdate to make her old enough for this problem to go away, but my family link app gives me the error message "Update failed please try again later" CONSTANTLY if I try to do this. Please help. All of her contacts are now being stored under my account on her phone!!
Hi, i wanted to stop supervision over my child's phone. I already clicked stop supervision in my parent family link app and i uninstalled the app from my mobile But the supervision is not stopped!! And when i tried to download the family link app again on my mobile as a parent, i cant complete the steps on my childs phone to open the link with him again because already some app are still blocked due to my parental control which i couldn't cancel.. Please help its very complicated for me, i cant control my child phone and i cant stop the supervision either..
