Gateway Customer Insights

1. (Trying to change it to Dark without changing my entire phone that way.)I have a Samsung phone ultra 21+ over the last few months I was having issues with the app.

2. crash.Can't cast to TV on Android or iPhone! App crashes when casting on Android and iPhone app doesn't ask for Local Network permissions to see local devices such as our Chromecast.

3. One question: is there a reason one is not allowed to change the theme? There's the option to sync theme to device, but disabling that results in showing the theme you have... but you can't change it.

4. Using Samsung S10e with Android 11.All my debit cards have changed and I cannot find a way that will let me alter them.

5. cant watch sermons, cant update campus, can only give money but, of course, you made sure that part works.

6. Try to sign up using a different email address, nothing but a spinning circle, then back to log in page.

7. We love listening to Pastor Morris and his team.The app works great, love how there is quick access to groups.

8. I downloaded it to my phone so I can put headphones on to be able to hear better and understand more.

9. App on Roku/TV buffers and does appear to suffer from connection issues.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Gateway Issues

1. Fix Gateway Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Gateway: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Gateway App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Gateway" » Open Gateway » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Gateway » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Gateway app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Gateway servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Gateway" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Gateway app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Gateway might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Gateway. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Gateway then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Gateway not working


2. Fix Gateway Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Gateway be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Gateway not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Gateway may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
