PlantSnap Pro Customer Insights

1. I can keep track of all the plants I've already identified and submit others for help IDing if I don't see my plant pop up after submitting my image! I LOVE IT.

2. VERY frustrating.Dose not recognize most of the time,even simple plants from grocery.. Requires registration even for paid version for additional review, extended registration.

3. Rarely will it identify a plant even if you retry multiple photos of excellent quality.

4. I wish it incorporated more picture close up options such as the leaves, stems or seedling images to identify plants with.

5. Constantly zoom in an can zook back out... Only takes one photo when boastes looking at stem pattern Needs many more shoots on plant to see that and leaves.

6. I'd like there to be a menu of sorts to decide what to do with your snap( post to my wall, ad to clipboard, share with a friend etc, instead all of these options are in separate- tough to find pages.Regretting buying the app.

7. App crashes frequently while searching for plants and trying to click on the poor quality photos uploaded to the site.

8. And I've never gotten a response when submitting a photo to their "botanists" to identify.Installed the free one.

9. Returns had no physical relationship to EACH other! I tested over 50 times with COMMON plants and not once did I get a "match" that had ANY of the characteristics of the "snap".

10. Can't just search and "heart" a plant by name, instead have to find it via the camera search to favorite it.This app is next to useless.

11. Many times, names of plant species are given without an image to compare with my photo.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix PlantSnap Pro Issues

1. Fix PlantSnap Pro Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart PlantSnap Pro: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the PlantSnap Pro App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "PlantSnap Pro" » Open PlantSnap Pro » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for PlantSnap Pro » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear PlantSnap Pro app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from PlantSnap Pro servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "PlantSnap Pro" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check PlantSnap Pro app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, PlantSnap Pro might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall PlantSnap Pro. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall PlantSnap Pro then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing PlantSnap Pro not working


2. Fix PlantSnap Pro Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make PlantSnap Pro be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to PlantSnap Pro not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, PlantSnap Pro may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
