DocuBay Customer Insights

1. Watch a documentary about good UXContent sounds ok but there is no option to decrease the quality of the video.

2. The picture started changing the aspect ratio while playing... for the documentary I wanted to watch, Amazon lists "Docubay" as an option with subtitles -- nope, you don't get them.

3. Change it so that every time you tap on Docubytes you'll get clips from random documentaries, and the experience will stay interesting for longer and it'll help us see more of the clips over time too.The rating is temporary if the things are improved.

4. Wasted money... EDIT: Correction to the comment above -- I realized that the documentary does have subtitles, but they can't be enabled when using Chromecast.

5. YouTube, Disney Hotstar, etc all have option to select the video quality.

6. There is no option to select video quality.The app UI needs lot more improvement.

7. How else to watch it on a big screen?While the Docubytes feature is extremely promising, I'd suggest one change: the order of the clips should be random, like in Tiktok (which is why it's so addictive, if you'd get always the same there would be no curiosity).

8. It has amazing collection of documentaries, its UI is user friendly and it works on almost all my devices whether its TV, Mobile or on Web.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix DocuBay Issues

1. Fix DocuBay Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart DocuBay: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the DocuBay App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "DocuBay" » Open DocuBay - Watch Documentaries » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for DocuBay » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear DocuBay - Watch Documentaries app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from DocuBay servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "DocuBay - Watch Documentaries" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check DocuBay app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, DocuBay might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall DocuBay. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall DocuBay then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing DocuBay not working


2. Fix DocuBay Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make DocuBay be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to DocuBay not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, DocuBay may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
