1. I haven't explored what else the app can do, i am sure there are useful things but not for what i needed.I was encouraged to use this app but it asks me to enter my Unit number and booking number and there is nowhere I can find a unit number in my booking information, so the app is useless to me.The app does not scan a passport, as stated.
2. Use with great care or not at all.Not sure what the point of this app is.. I booked a trip with DFDS via direct ferries then downloaded this app to manage my booking...except there is no way in this app to add an existing booking anywhere.
3. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, to no joy.I cant see the point, all it does is show what you've booked, you can't modify your booking and if you want to make a new booking it just takes you to the website.
4. Passenger information entered on the app does not appear in the online booking system.
5. Passenger information dates for birth and passport expiry are flipped from the UK format of dd/mm/yyyy to the US format of mm/dd/yyyy with no warning and so are highly likely to be entered into your system incorrectly.
6. I could not add my booking, they asked for unit id and release number, but not booking reference.
7. I signed up with the same email that I used on direct ferries and yeah, no "add existing trip using reference number" option.
8. Took 17 attempts (YES, SEVENTEEN) to get the return date to stay on screen long enough to select the journey time (it kept switching to a day or days earlier or later).
9. Live updates button just takes you to the DFDS website which refers you to the DFDS Twitter which hasn't been updated since Feb 2020.
10. Had to give up until I could phone someone (like in the nineteenth century!!!)The prices advertised are misleading, additional hidden charges such as "ETS surcharge" (whatever that means) appear at checkout.
11. I was offered this app in the email instead of filling in the passenger form, they said i could scan my passport.
