PlaylistSync Customer Insights

1. Put the memcard into new S10, went to restore got an error explaining its not supported - never mind, I'll export them from Shuttle+ instead, put the memcard back in the S7, loaded my music player and the playlists are all blank on that now too, restoring from this app doesn't bring them back, get error saying no files found.

2. Also scheduled backup/restores? My playlists delete themselves whenever my phone restarts (phone issue not your app) so it would be nice to run a restore of the most recent backup on boot/etc!Found this app a few years ago and deleted all others, yes it was that good.

3. It was quick and smooth.So I deleted a Playlist because it wasn't updating, then I went to restore it & now it's saying that I'm unable to Restore because there's a bug in Android 10, there were 1000 songs in that Playlist and I don't want to have to put all my songs back by hand, this app has been great up until now please could you fix this issue and please give me a solution.I thought it wasn't working but it's not the apps fault.

4. I'm lazy, not going to fool with trying to through computer to make it work.I just upgraded from a Pixel 2 to a Pixel 4a and even though I could transfer my downloaded YouTube music I saw no way to transfer my playlists.

5. Thanks alot, unless I pay to get the m3u's off you they're all goneUpdate (7/20) Using latest version, app oddly works on my samsung tablet running Android 11 but won't work on my Samsung Note 20 Ultra running Android 11 citing the Android 10 bug.

6. ??? Ugh, and I thought this was solved 😭 (7/21) Turns out, once I deleted all of the playlists on my note 20 ultra, the restore worked with no issue.

7. App currently CANNOT see or otherwise locate my 27 'Samsung Music' Playlists (5,300+ songs).

8. Samsung, dropbox and smart switch can only assist with transfer the music from one phone to the next.

9. This app is the only app that allowed me to transfer all 49 playlists from one phone Samsung phone to another.

10. My goal is to copy/export my Google play music playlists and import them to my new cellphone.

11. The app couldn't find any of my playlist and I was prompt to download the manager app you made and there it only had the options to create new playlists.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix PlaylistSync Issues

1. Fix PlaylistSync Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart PlaylistSync: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the PlaylistSync App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "PlaylistSync" » Open PlaylistSync - Playlist Backup » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for PlaylistSync » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear PlaylistSync - Playlist Backup app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from PlaylistSync servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "PlaylistSync - Playlist Backup" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check PlaylistSync app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, PlaylistSync might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall PlaylistSync. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall PlaylistSync then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing PlaylistSync not working


2. Fix PlaylistSync Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make PlaylistSync be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to PlaylistSync not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, PlaylistSync may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
