Cogeco Média Customer Insights

1. Used to work fine but now everytime I'm using it, it crashes!! So frustrating.Drains battery in spite of restrictions to running in background.

2. Then after the call I need to reopen the app through Google Play because I get that update message again.

3. Everytime I try to play, I get an error message saying the the playba ck code is wrong.

4. Will sometimes start playing randomly.Here I tried again to listen to 98.5 after more than two years that I stopped and STILL the application is stopping every minute or so.

5. Each time I reopen I always get a request to update when app has already been updated.

6. This morning's update gives me an error message.

7. When I listen to it and someone calls me it stills play during my phone conversation.

8. The thing I really like however is that I can listen to past program recordings.this new app doesn't work well.

9. Otherwise it is okIt crashes all the time, unusable.

10. Please fix.Update is a bust.

11. Previous version was fine.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Cogeco Média Issues

1. Fix Cogeco Média Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Cogeco Média: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Cogeco Média App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Cogeco Média" » Open Cogeco Média » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Cogeco Média » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Cogeco Média app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Cogeco Média servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Cogeco Média" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Cogeco Média app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Cogeco Média might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Cogeco Média. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Cogeco Média then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Cogeco Média not working


2. Fix Cogeco Média Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Cogeco Média be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Cogeco Média not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Cogeco Média may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
