1. So why bother wearing it?BERNAFON SOUNDGATE Nice app to control hearing apps with my Android phone but it hasn't been updated since 2016 & many of us are now using Android 11, so for feature compatibility an update is overdue.Gives a firmware version error.

2. Now I know not to order another one! This app has better functionality.Too big and heavy and uncomfortable to use.Seems that my iPhone detects firmware 3.1.1 on the soundgate, and with my Android phone it claims it is not 3.1 (and that it is 3.0) and won't connect? Sounds like a logic error somewhere.

3. Or confused programming (I love the app on my iPhone, but would rather have it working on my private non-work phone....)App works well except that if using navigation software like Google maps or here maps the first couple of words of a voice direction are missed.

4. Similar problem with Google fit.cant use it - Not supported - The Soundgate firmware version is incompatible with the app.When connected it is great.

5. Says Soundgate needs version 3.1 firmware?? This is with a Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus.

6. My hearing aids don't connect to my phone without the receiver necklace.

7. App does not work.I lost the remote supplied with the hearing aids.

8. My Soundgate only has two settings, one default and one for music.

9. No instructions on how to program it for other situations, although the app ad pictures show 4 or 5 different ones.

1. Fix Bernafon SoundGate Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Bernafon SoundGate: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Bernafon SoundGate App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Bernafon SoundGate" » Open Bernafon SoundGate » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Bernafon SoundGate » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Bernafon SoundGate app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Bernafon SoundGate servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Bernafon SoundGate" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Bernafon SoundGate app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Bernafon SoundGate might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Bernafon SoundGate. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Bernafon SoundGate then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Bernafon SoundGate not working

2. Fix Bernafon SoundGate Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Bernafon SoundGate be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Bernafon SoundGate not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Bernafon SoundGate may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
