BCBSM Customer Insights

1. I have talked to numerous representatives, no one seems to care.PLEASE FIX THIS!!! Can't pay on the app or website now 😡😡😡Every single time I click "pay your premium" for the past several months it just buffers & shows the spinning wheel and never opens the section to allow me to pay.

2. This app is fine except for the most important things such as making payments to keep my insurance! I click on "pay your premium" and am met with a never ending loading screen.

3. If the display size on your phone is set to "Large", the app will not allow you to log in.

4. Luckily I found out I can pay on the web page through the Google app, but the point of an app like this is supposed to be convenience and unfortunately it fails.I get the exact same diabetic supplies every 3 months.

5. On my phone display size is set by going to: Settings - Display - Advanced - Display size.

6. If the display size is reset to "Default" the app works normally.

7. You may then reset the display size back to "Large".

8. I've had to use the chat since this began in order to pay my premium, but that can be annoying and it's also nice to just be able to check that tab periodically to make sure I remembered to pay it that month.

9. I've notified BCBSM tech support about this problem.Horrible. Previous problems with the app but recently it was working fine, and I assumed glitches were fixed.

10. Its like Im the first person they have ever tried to set up insurance for.I found a workaround for "unable to login".

11. All in all 100% unusable and I would rather sit on hold for 20 minutes every time I have to call BCBS than use this trash.Stupid updates.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix BCBSM Issues

1. Fix BCBSM Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart BCBSM: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the BCBSM App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "BCBSM" » Open BCBSM » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for BCBSM » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear BCBSM app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from BCBSM servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "BCBSM" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check BCBSM app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, BCBSM might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall BCBSM. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall BCBSM then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing BCBSM not working


2. Fix BCBSM Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make BCBSM be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to BCBSM not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, BCBSM may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
