Bang & Olufsen Customer Insights

1. The actual UI is easy to navigate (if the app doesn't crash) and overall the app looks modern and nice.Restarted the headset more than six times, my phone more than four; getting the phone to connect to BT to a new Beoplay Portal headset is difficult.

2. When it works, it's a decent app... but every now and then I have to reset my headphones only to be unable to connect to the devices I want to, and when it does connect to my phone, it forever prompts me to download the app.

3. Then it doesn't see the device, but is connected, then disables all my features... it takes uninstalling the app, factory resets, uninstalling again, removing device, factory reset, etc.

4. Other than that I have been enjoying these headphones.App update takes forever, at one point I had to force stop and restart my phone.

5. Even if I disconnect from the device I was using, which shouldn't be necessary IMO and try to connect with the other device, it doesn't connect.

6. The last time the app would not connect to the buds, this required an uninstall and reset of the buds, annoying.

7. It may or may not connect to my Xbox, but I dont' really see the point in trying if it's already defective (the app is used to update its firmware, for example).

8. I finally figured out that I have to unplug the sound bar and then plug it back in and that seems to work.Connectivity in app response is poor compared to the competition.

9. It will reconnect to the previous device easily, but forms a bond with that device and doesn't wane want to let go and move on.

10. Sound quality seems great, but overall I expected a better experience for the price.Decent app, but it's lacking.

11. It just stopped working and now I pressed the circle button on the sound bar and it stopped playing with my TV.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Bang & Olufsen Issues

  4. Check Bang & Olufsen app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Bang & Olufsen might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Bang & Olufsen. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Bang & Olufsen then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Bang & Olufsen not working
