1. Want to find a specific car? Now you have to go through a search menu and either search for it using their clunky and terrible sear h feature, or you can go through even more sub menus to add filters.

2. Seriously, this update mustve been designed by a four year old, it's so much worse than the previous version, please Autotrader, go back to how it was before.Ever since the search bar function update the app has become.

3. After years of using this app as my main source for searching vehicles I'm uninstalling it.Glad I'm not the only one with this problem, but the new UI is practically unusable, seriously, just use the web version at this point.

4. Push button start and certain trim levels, etc..The previous version was my go-to car browsing app, I loved using it.

5. The new search bar function doesn't work very well, and it's hard to find what you're looking for.

6. The worst joke is how the first screen says it's easier but then makes it much harder to find cars.Definitely the easiest app to use to find a car.

7. Nowhere did it tell me that anybody interested in it would contact me through email AND I can't find my stupid post ANYWHERE ON THE APP!! Took me a week before I checked my email for other reasons to see the buildup of prospective buyers.

8. Until then, I'd suggest using CarGurus or Edmunds...or literally anything else.Many recent reviewers have said it - the new update is horrible.

9. The biggest problem for me is there is no option to filter cars by transmission type.

10. Been using this app for over 7 years, personally bought 3 cars from it and did reseach for family and friends using this app exclusively.

11. Some of the sponsored cars definitely are annoying as they are pushed to the top of the list and are not relevant to the search.

1. Fix Autotrader Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Autotrader: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Autotrader App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Autotrader" » Open Autotrader: Shop Cars For Sale » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Autotrader » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Autotrader: Shop Cars For Sale app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Autotrader servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Autotrader: Shop Cars For Sale" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Autotrader app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Autotrader might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Autotrader. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Autotrader then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Autotrader not working

2. Fix Autotrader Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Autotrader be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Autotrader not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Autotrader may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
