eSecure 2.0 Customer Insights

1. I have not been able to use it yet for over 2 monthsThis App is a game changer! It may seem slightly insignificant to some, however it has really helped our family.Awesome and so easy to use.

2. Waste of time.It keeps asking me to change my password, I do, but after 5 minutes numerous times, it just still says working.

3. Also enjoy the use of arming and disarming from smart phone.Changed my password twice to try and get logged in.

4. ADT/Protection 1 had to come out to update our software to the newest version because I wasn't getting email notifications on its activity.

5. The notification pops up hours after I actually leave my house.I never had any complaints when I had ADT.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix eSecure 2.0 Issues

1. Fix eSecure 2.0 Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart eSecure 2.0: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the eSecure 2.0 App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "eSecure 2.0" » Open eSecure 2.0 » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for eSecure 2.0 » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear eSecure 2.0 app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from eSecure 2.0 servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "eSecure 2.0" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check eSecure 2.0 app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, eSecure 2.0 might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall eSecure 2.0. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall eSecure 2.0 then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing eSecure 2.0 not working


2. Fix eSecure 2.0 Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make eSecure 2.0 be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to eSecure 2.0 not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, eSecure 2.0 may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
