ACTIVE Customer Insights

1. The app will not allow me to correctly update my home address now will it allow me to adjust my settings of where i want to search for evemts i dont remember it being this bad in the past but it has been a vouple of years so maybe nobody is supporting the app anymore.This app is factually TRASH.

2. I marked a run as a favorite that I have already signed up for and it keeps asking me if I want to register for the event.

3. Want to filter by sport? Well have fun wading through 376 postings of your local bridge, photography, and yoga clubs mixed with your running search.

4. Want to filter by dates? You can try, but you'll still get a random list of events outside of your date range and not in chronological order.

5. At the same time I'm on the same account on the app and it shows I'm not registered for an event.

6. It will be nice to have something to motivate training again.it doesn't know you signed up for an event unless you use the app, even if it is a run sponsored by them.

7. Beware of the sneaky way they charge you for a premium membership if you sign up for a 'free' event!Just downloaded to my new phone.

8. Uninstalling now!I had this app for the Army 10 Miler last year, and this company truly botched that, cancelled the in person run and kept the money.

9. Garbage app and garbage company, charging people for a service that doesn't even work.App is not finding my races.

10. Used the app to find my first event, last year.

11. I am logged on to my account on the computer which shows my race registration.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix ACTIVE Issues

1. Fix ACTIVE Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart ACTIVE: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the ACTIVE App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "ACTIVE" » Open ACTIVE » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for ACTIVE » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear ACTIVE app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from ACTIVE servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "ACTIVE" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check ACTIVE app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, ACTIVE might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall ACTIVE. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall ACTIVE then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing ACTIVE not working


2. Fix ACTIVE Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make ACTIVE be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to ACTIVE not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, ACTIVE may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
