1. Just fyiI found KWXX when I visited the Big Island in January and then in turn I found the App when I went online.
2. However, the geofence is still set up after the Pandemic, so this app will not stream outside of Hawaii.
3. The app is a great way to keep up with the station.
Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix KWXX Issues
1. Fix KWXX Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:
- Restart KWXX: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
- Update the KWXX App. Here is how:
- On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "KWXX" » Open KWXX » click "Update".
- On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for KWXX » click "UPDATE".
- Clear KWXX app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from KWXX servers.
- On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "KWXX" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
- Check KWXX app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, KWXX might not work.
- Uninstall and reinstall KWXX. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall KWXX then reinstall.
- Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing KWXX not working
2. Fix KWXX Server issues & Internet Connection
- Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make KWXX be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
- Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to KWXX not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
- Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, KWXX may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
