Not to mention I had always on VPN enabled, and then it wasn't, so I'm going to assume an update disabled it >:( It would be better to enable Always on VPN in an update, than to turn it off.So far has been solid for me, the connection speed is both impressively high and is also stable which is great, the design of the app is also yet another thing which i applause it for, 0 UI bugs, loving the shortcut for the control centre, loving the stealth protocol and everything else, i just wish that it was easier to connect to servers, don't get me wrong it's not the worst, some VPNs don't even connect whilst this does, but it is slow and you often have to switch servers if it doesn't co...It's actually an amazing VPN, but after clearing all app preferences and cached data, it disconnected from the VPN.

2. The only reason for 4 stars is that it seems like every server I connect to is flagged as a bot, so I can't stay connected without doing a ton of captcha challenges... Edit: customer support was super helpful and helped me work out a reasonable workaround while they work on boosting the reputation of their servers.Since the latest updates and the arrival of "plus" servers, I have had trouble with my other apps.

3. I can't connect to my home cameras because I receive an "authentication" error, YouTube constantly says issues time out errors, and other apps don't work unless I select the proper VPN server (which is a guessing game).

4. You could possibly get it to not be present (lil icon) if it's in the silent section of the notification bar.Easy to use for those that aren't super familiar with VPNs, but has tons of nifty extras if you like to tinker.

5. However, there are so many apps that don't work when the VPN is on, that I am not sure how useful this app is: for example all my Chilean banks detect the VPN connection and they stop working.

1. Fix VPN Proton Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart VPN Proton: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the VPN Proton App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "VPN Proton" » Open VPN Proton: Fast & Secure VPN » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for VPN Proton » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear VPN Proton: Fast & Secure VPN app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from VPN Proton servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "VPN Proton: Fast & Secure VPN" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check VPN Proton app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, VPN Proton might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall VPN Proton. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall VPN Proton then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing VPN Proton not working

2. Fix VPN Proton Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make VPN Proton be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to VPN Proton not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, VPN Proton may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
